The dishes have not changed in years and well they should not. People, myself included, love and expect consistency in flavor and serving portions and that is what you get here. Ongpin Manosa makes no claim to being a fancy Chinese resto so don't expect that here. You come here to eat what's on the menu and it's homey good Chinese-Pinoy food. The maki mi is my favorite. Careful! The food is habit forming!

Great food. However needs renovation. Better to seat upstairs because it has aircondition :) Must try their noodles!

I loved the atmosphere here. I ordered Maki and rice, the food was very tasty! I think a small size is more than enough for one person, even though there's a large size too. I wish I could try all kinds of food in this restaurant! Only thing is that they have only 4 tables, so maybe you should avoid a peak time if you want to be seated quickly. I was able to get the table without waiting, but after 10mins many people started to be in line. This place is very popular!

nothing more classic than being in the old chinese district like ongpin. tried this restaurant because my wife want siopao. the place had its timeless aura and the atmosphere is like being part of something very old. the food serving is more than adequate. we cannot consume it all, had to take out the rest like the wanton single serving and the sotanghon that is good for two. the only downside is lack of server and attendant, in spite of large volume of customers. seems to be the case in chinese owned establishment. had to wait for tea, gladly it came when we are about to leave. same with siopao. I had to fetch drinking water and other things also because the servers are all too busy. Will i come back again? that is still unsure because of the serving time. other than that this place is great

Good food, terrible owners. Been patronizing it since early 90s but the younger generation owners (probably sons and daughters) are a failure in customer service. Just enjoy the food and never mind them.

The place is quite small and rundown but that doesn't affect the food at all. My partner and I shared a small bowl of maki soup. (We went on a food crawl so that was enough for both of us). I was not a fan of the texture but my partner loved it very much. Easy to find but hard to find parking for if you're going there via private vehicle.

Old school authentic chinese cuisine. If you want to experience unfiltered, non glamorized Chinatown food, this is a recommended place. True hearty food without the glittering deception of most modern stores. We ordered sweet and sour pork, siomai and fried rice plus 2 softdrinks. Cost us around 900 php. First of all, wait time is ok, you know it is just being cooked after you order. The pork was soft and crispy (perfect!) and the sauce is how it should be done, thick , sweet and not overwhelmingly sour. The fried rice was also good. Serves 1-2 people for the small bowl. The siomai is my favourite. Its a huge chunk of Chinese flavored meat. yeah! The overall taste is awesome and good for the price. The place, as old school as you get, just be careful with floor as it sometimes can get a bit slippery and the chairs, you might need to double it up if youre a big person like me (pvc chairs). Not airconditioned but it keeps the food integrity (warm). Overall, i recommend visiting it for those truw food enthusiasts. Not as picturesque as other modern restaurants, but it has its own calming chinatown vibe plus you can feel its history (the people working, the architecture, the cramped coze space, the heat coming from the kitchen). Will definitely go back for the food.
